A toddler has died suddenly on an inflatable slide from an undiagnosed kidney tumour.
Adelin Florin collapsed after shouting to his mother to watch him jump down the slide.
The two-year-old boy was attending the city’s annual festival when tragedy struck.

He had been enjoying the inflatable with his sister and another child, sliding down it five or six times without issue.
While climbing the steps for another go, he turned towards his family and called out “Mummy”.
He then collapsed abruptly as if “cut down by a scythe”, according to his devastated parents.

Emergency crews performed resuscitation at the scene and continued efforts in the ambulance, but the boy entered cardiorespiratory arrest and could not be revived.
He passed away at the festival in Satu Mare, Romania, at around 11pm on Friday night (29 May).
An autopsy revealed that he had a rare, aggressive kidney tumour that had developed rapidly and remained asymptomatic.
His parents said previous medical checks, including abdominal ultrasounds, had shown nothing unusual.
“He played right until the last moment,” the boy’s father said.
“It could have happened at home, on the road, or in his sleep.

“It was just a matter of time.”
The City Hall halted all inflatable attractions and children’s rides at the festival and sealed the area in question.
Officials confirmed the equipment had valid certifications but still launched a full review, as reported by Need To Know.
Prosecutors have opened a culpable homicide investigation to determine all circumstances.
Paediatricians said such tumours often present with no symptoms and are most common in children aged two to three.
One doctor, Camelia Păun, explained they are frequently discovered late.
Health experts urge annual checks including blood, urine tests and abdominal ultrasounds for young children to help detect such rare conditions earlier.
