A mother allegedly stabbed her 28-year-old daughter to death with a butcher’s knife after sending a cryptic audio message.
The horrific crime came to light on Friday (12 Jun) night, when a 40-year-old man went to police and said his sister had confessed to him that she had attacked her daughter.
Officers were then quickly dispatched to a house in Tres Isletas, Argentina, where they found Pamela Magalí Gauna lying in a pool of blood, with no vital signs.

Next to her body was a butcher’s knife with a blade over 30cm (12in) long, believed to be the weapon used in the killing.
Almost simultaneously, the suspect, Irma Gladis Pérez, voluntarily presented herself at the police station.
Pérez, believed to be 58 or 60, was arrested and remains in custody, as reported by Need To Know.

At the property, investigators seized the knife, mobile phones and other items considered relevant to the case.
Pamela’s body reportedly showed multiple stab wounds, mainly to the face and neck.
Forensic experts also found injuries consistent with defensive wounds on her hands.
An audio message attributed to the accused, sent before the killing, has since come to light.
According to sources close to the case, Pérez said: “Before they deal with her in Buenos Aires, I’ll deal with her myself.”
Authorities are still trying to interpret its meaning.
Pamela, an only child, had the phrase “My mum is everything” in her Facebook bio.

No prior complaints or reports of conflict or violence between mother and daughter have emerged, leaving investigators without a clear motive.
They are currently analysing the pair’s backgrounds, medical records and witness statements in an effort to establish context.
Pamela, a churchgoer, is survived by her schoolteacher father.
Online, one mourner described her as “sweetness personified”.
