A British woman has shared how she realised her abs were disappearing before her eyes – and the simple test that helped fix the problem.

Hannah Swan says she was training at the gym three or four times a week and eating healthily but nothing seemed to make a difference.

She struggled with bloating, low energy and weight fluctuations, to the point that she was unable to wear her favourite clothes.

It wasn’t until she took a simple test that she realised she was intolerant to a number of foods, which was impacting her energy levels and ability to lose the weight around the middle.

The 45-year-old decided to cut out the foods she was intolerant to – and quickly saw a change.

“Within just three to four weeks of following an elimination diet of foods I was intolerant to, I lost five kilograms, primarily from water weight and some fat,” Hannah, from Dorset, told Need To Know.

“I also experienced a significant reduction in bloating and noticed a marked improvement in my energy levels.”

The author and writer says her body had never responded well to traditional dieting, and despite making what she believed were healthy choices, she was often left in discomfort after eating.

She even suspected that certain foods might be contributing to her symptoms.

Hannah tried various diet methods, from calorie restriction to intermittent fasting, and even switched out breakfast for smoothies instead, but nothing worked.

She says it all seemed to make her bloated and she was unable to lose any weight, leaving her unable to wear some of her favourite clothing and often covering up with baggy tops.

Hoping for some answers and a personalised approach to her nutrition, Hannah decided to try a YorkTest Food Intolerance Testing Kit.

Hannah’s goals were to identify which foods were triggering negative symptoms, reduce bloating and digestive discomfort, and support healthy, sustainable weight loss.

Her test revealed that Hannah had intolerances to wheat, sugar, and certain processed foods – and she soon made a number of changes to her diet.

She removed wheat-based products, eliminated refined sugars, avoided highly processed foods, and focused on whole, nourishing alternatives in order to reduce inflammation, improve digestion, and support her overall metabolic health.

Within just three to four weeks of following the personalised plan, Hannah lost five kilograms, primarily from water weight and some fat.

She also experienced a significant reduction in bloating and noticed a marked improvement in her energy levels.

Beyond the physical results, Hannah felt more in control of her food choices and better able to manage her symptoms.

By identifying and removing foods that were triggering intolerance, Hannah was able to achieve rapid, noticeable improvements in both body composition and her overall well-being.
