A 20-year-old man was shot dead after a confrontation inside a shopping centre bathroom allegedly spilled into a busy food court, sending terrified shoppers fleeing for safety.
The victim, identified by family as KeShawn Emery, was killed after the dispute escalated into gunfire at the shopping centre in Michigan.
A woman was also struck by bullets during the chaos but survived with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

Police said the confrontation began inside a bathroom before continuing into the food court, where shots were fired in front of shoppers and restaurant diners, as reported by Need To Know.
Officers responding to the scene found Emery suffering from gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead.
A suspect was taken into custody at the scene, with investigators continuing to piece together what led to the deadly confrontation.

Witnesses described scenes of panic as shoppers ran from the area following the sound of gunfire, while emergency crews rushed to secure the scene.
One witness wearing Meta smart glasses captured footage of the aftermath as people fled the food court and police arrived.

Authorities said the incident appeared to be isolated and there was no ongoing threat to the public.
Emery’s family have since paid tribute to the 20-year-old following his death.
