A family has been left heartbroken after losing a dad and gran in two separate tragedies on the same day.
Father-of-three Andrew Tinsley, 46, died after an incident in the River Dee in Llangollen, North Wales.
Just hours later, his mum, Carol Tinsley, 70, was killed in a car crash as she travelled with family members to identify his body.

Now the family are trying to raise funds for a double funeral.
So far £9,295 has been raised of a £12,000 target, as reported by Need To Know.
Andrew’s niece, Derrie Tinsley, said: “I am trying to help raise funds for my three little cousins.
“On 10 July they lost their dad due to a tragic accident at the River Dee in Llangollen.
“Later that day, when our nan received the sad news about her son, they all got in a car with their mum and our nan to go identify their dad.
“On the way to the hospital they tragically got in a serious road traffic collision.
“Sadly our nan died at the scene, two of my cousins had serious injuries and the other had minor injuries.
“This has broken our family as my three cousins lived with our nan from a very young age. She was their guardian and now they have lost both their nan and their dad on the same day.
“They have been left with nothing and we really need help to raise funds for a double funeral to take some pressure and stress away from my cousins.
“They are recovering from their injuries and trying to process all this.
“They were taken away way too soon.
“My nan was 70 and my uncle was only 46.”
North Wales Police said officers were called to Castle Street bridge in Llangollen at 8.16pm on Friday, 10 July, following reports of an incident.
After searches of the River Dee, Andrew was found and taken to hospital in Wrexham, where he later died.
Inspector Joseph Dunn said: “Our thoughts are with the individual’s family and friends at this time, and I would like to thank officers, our emergency service partners, and the assisting public for their response to this incident.”
Later that evening, at 11.33pm, Cheshire Police were called to a serious crash involving a grey Cupra Born and a black Kia Sportage on Parkgate Road in Chester.
Carol, who was travelling with Andrew’s former partner and their children to identify his body, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Three other occupants of the Kia were taken to hospital with injuries, while another suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the Cupra was unhurt.
In a tribute released through Cheshire Police, Carol’s family said: “Our family has been shattered and ripped apart with the loss of our beautiful, selfless, amazing Carol, and we were all blessed to be a part of her life.
“We are all truly heartbroken and ask for privacy at this very sad time.”
Police said enquiries into both incidents remained ongoing.
