A pedestrian cheated death by making a split-second leap onto a motorway barrier just moments before an out-of-control car smashed into a stranded vehicle.
The terrifying near-miss showed the person standing beside a broken-down motor on the hard shoulder as another car suddenly veered towards them.
Realising they had nowhere else to go, the pedestrian vaulted onto the concrete barrier.

The vehicle ploughed into the parked car, sending debris flying across the carriageway, as reported by Need To Know.
The person balanced on top of the barrier as the wrecked vehicles come to rest beneath them after the astonishing escape.
The dramatic footage was captured on Interstate 71 near Columbus, Ohio, US.
The footage was shared online as a stark reminder for drivers to slow down and move over when approaching vehicles stopped on the roadside.
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has not released details of any injuries suffered in the collision.
