The pair welcomed their son, Sunday Ray, in July.
Just weeks before the arrest, Salazar and Olsen had shared footage from the hospital and updates about their newborn online, as reported by Need To Know.
An alleged victim has not been publicly identified and the circumstances behind the attempted murder allegation remain unclear.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told PEOPLE that officers responded to a reported “domestic violence incident” shortly after midnight on Thursday (13 Aug).
Police arrested an adult male suspect on suspicion of attempted murder.
Salazar was reportedly taken into custody at approximately 12.30am and booked into a Los Angeles jail at 4.43am.
Jail records showed his bail had been set at $1million.
Police had reportedly first been called to an address associated with Salazar and Olsen at approximately 9.40pm the previous evening.
Law enforcement sources reportedly described the arrested man as the ex-boyfriend of the alleged victim, although police have not identified that person.
Olsen subsequently uploaded footage appearing to show Salazar being arrested.
The Snapchat video showed a man being placed in handcuffs and escorted away from a residence by officers.
Olsen wrote over the footage: “I’m so sorry guys….”
She also continued sharing updates about Salazar’s detention through the @unsupervisedfamily account on streaming platform Kick.
The account, which has approximately 66,500 followers, has hosted broadcasts discussing him being in jail since the arrest.

Salazar and Olsen built their online following by documenting their relationship and family life across TikTok, Snapchat and Kik.
Their social media content had included videos from the hospital surrounding Sunday Ray’s birth and subsequent updates about the newborn.
The arrest came only weeks later.
The LAPD said its investigation remained ongoing.
