A new Strictly Come Dancing star has shared the ‘heartbreaking’ war in her home country.
Aleksandra Isaeva is one of the five new dancers to join the cast of this year’s beloved ballroom dancing show.
Despite the 22-year-old being in the top 21 Latin dancers in the world, she was snubbed for getting a celeb partner in Strictly’s launch show on Saturday (19 Sep).

The Ukrainian dancer has over 32,000 followers on social media, as reported by Need To Know.
As well as using her platform to showcase her skills, Isaeva also frequently speaks on the troubles plaguing her home country.
A number of Instagram posts made by the dancer showcase the horrific scenes from the war between Ukraine and Russia.
One clip shared by the Strictly star showed her leaving her home country in 2022 when Putin launched an invasion of Ukraine.
In the video, Isaeva can be seen looking at what is believed to be her old home before exiting on a bus with her bags.
The footage also shows residents evacuating cities in large numbers.
The post reads: “I have freedom of speech; therefore I will write.
“Indeed. Sincerely,
“At that moment you understand what man and humanity are.
“I thank everyone who supports Ukraine, who supports my family and helps in such a difficult hour.

“I don’t understand a lot of things; sometimes I open my eyes and say to myself, what a long and incredibly terrible dream, but news, calls friends, dad… bringing it back to reality.
“I hug everyone with my heart, I pray for everyone, and I believe that soon, we will return to our families, to our parents, on our native street.
“I am infinitely proud to be Ukrainian.
“Our nation, our unity, our strength – invincible.”
The invasion was launched on 24 Feb 2022; three days later, the dancer shared a post directing her followers to donate to aid ‘armed forces’.
