A young woman miraculously escaped unscathed after plunging from the top of a greasy pole during a traditional festival.
Footage shows her scrambling up several people to reach the top of the metal structure, where several gifts are waiting.
She can be seen standing on the shoulders of another woman, who is sitting on the shoulders of a man, who is himself standing on a second man’s shoulders.

Below them, a large crowd can be seen watching and filming the spectacle on their phones.
From her position at the top of the human tower, the woman reaches for one of the prizes but is struggling to grab it.
She then jumps and stretches out to get her hands on one, only to come crashing down along with the gift.
Shrieks can be heard ringing out as she plummets towards the ground, as reported by Need To Know.
The heart-stopping scenes unfolded during the traditional “palo encebado” (greasy pole event) at the San Miguelito festivities in Matehuala, Mexico, on Tuesday (29 September).
Despite falling from a height several times her own, the woman reportedly escaped unharmed, with little more than a fright.
It is believed the crowd helped cushion her fall.
One viewer joked: “The Hunger Games… Mexico edition.”
Another asked: “How much could one of those items be worth in monetary terms? Could it really be worth more than a life?”
And a third quipped: “Like a true tough-as-nails warrior, she clung to the prize for dear life, almost breaking the neck of the woman underneath her.
“But she did it! She won the prize!
“What we don’t know is whether she’s still alive.”
