A teenager was allegedly lured into a deadly ambush before her body was found buried in a shallow grave with her hands tied.
Bianca Vieira do Prado had been missing for nearly three weeks when police discovered her remains in a remote wooded area in Piraquara, Brazil, on Tuesday (6 October).
Leonardo Mestre, the lawyer representing her family, said: “Bianca was lured into an ambush, to a place that had already been prepared, where they were waiting to receive her.

“She was taken there by someone she trusted. She did not realise what was happening, where she was being taken or what the purpose of it was.”
Bianca, 19, left her home on 16 September to go out with a female friend known by the nickname Pestinha.

Her family initially believed the pair were heading to a nightclub, but reports suggest they attended a party before travelling to a second location.
It remains unclear where Bianca was killed or whether she was taken to the woodland where her body was eventually discovered.
Her last known contact with her mother came the following afternoon, during a three-minute phone call, as reported by Need To Know.
Bianca reportedly asked for 80 BRL (£12) to unblock her mobile phone and said she was at the home of her friend’s family.
Her mother said she would transfer the money later, and the pair exchanged affectionate words before ending the call. Bianca never returned home.

Mestre said Bianca “had no criminal record, had never had any dealings with the police and was not suffering any threats”.
Police received a tip-off about a possible burial site on 2 October and searched the woodland, where Bianca’s body was found four days later.
Detective Thiago Filgueiras said her hands were tied when she was discovered.
Reports suggest investigators are examining whether several people were involved, but no suspects or motive have been officially announced.
Forensic examinations are expected to establish how Bianca died and whether she suffered other injuries.
Bianca was laid to rest yesterday (8 October).
The investigation continues.
