The body of a teenage girl is thought to have been found in a river more than a fortnight after she disappeared.
Prosecutors believe a body found near a bridge on Tuesday (27 October) could belong to missing 13-year-old Roksana Jurczyszyn.
Investigators said teams recovered personal belongings from the scene, including a school ID card, bank card and keys bearing the name “Roxi”.

However, authorities are yet to formally confirm whether the remains belong to the missing teen as they could not be visually identified due to the extreme state of decomposition.
Roksana vanished on October 10 after leaving her family home to meet a friend in Warsaw, Poland, as reported by Need To Know.

It’s understood the body was discovered near the Świętokrzyski Bridge, which is a short walk from many of the city’s famous landmarks, and around six miles from her home in Ochota.
Her parents raised the alarm after she failed to return home at the time she had agreed.
Her mother, Sylwia Jurczyszyn, told local media at the time: “Previously, she regularly went out with friends, but usually returned home at a set time.
“Now she’s vanished like a stone into the water, and we don’t know what happened to her.

“We’re devastated because she hasn’t given us any sign of life.”
Roksana and her father, Norbert Jurczyszyn, are said to have spoken the same evening.
The 13-year-old reportedly told him she was on the riverfront, but would be heading for the city’s subway system.
Around 10 minutes later, her dad tried to call again, but her phone was switched off.

He told local media: “I called many times, but the phone was switched off. It is still inactive.”
The disappearance prompted a huge search, with members of the public joining police to scour the riverfront and the bridge.
Marzena Kiełek-Łopińska, a spokeswoman for Warsaw’s prosecutor’s office, said experts had been appointed to carry out further examinations.
She said they would need to establish the likely timeframe. It’s understood the body was in the water for a number of weeks.
An investigation has been launched into suspected involuntary manslaughter, though no one has been named in connection with the case.
