Staff watched as the spinning column of dust twisted into the sky.
Footage captured the unusual spectacle as Britain’s sizzling summer continued, as reported by Need To Know.
The Met Office describes a dust devil as an upward-spiralling vortex that can vary in height from just a few feet to more than 1,000ft.
Dust devils grow upwards from the ground and are usually several metres in diameter at the base before narrowing higher up.
They mostly occur in dry conditions where high surface temperatures create strong updraughts.
They tend to last just a few minutes before cooler air is drawn into the base of the vortex, cutting off its heat supply.
A spokesperson for The Vine Farm Shop & Cafe said: “Not something we see every day in the Farm Shop & Cafe car park.”
