A 26-year-old woman has vanished after allegedly being “lured” back to her home country with police now investigating a suspected conspiracy and murder.
Chukwunyere Esther Chinaza has not been seen since June 22 after reportedly returning to Lagos, Nigeria, with a male friend from South Africa.
Her family has been unable to establish whether she is alive or dead and is calling for a major police effort to find her.

The Nigeria Police Force has since declared Chinaza missing.
It said she was last seen on June 22 after returning from Dubai.
A bulletin described her as aged 26, fair-skinned and of tall to average height.
Her last known address was given as Horizon Estate, Ikate, Lagos State, as reported by Need To Know.

Police are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts, whether she is dead or alive, to contact the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) at Panti, Yaba, Lagos.
One of Chinaza’s brothers said the family became increasingly concerned after she disappeared.
He said: “My sister’s name is Chukwunyere Esther Chinaza from Imo State.
“The guy lured my sister from Dubai to Lagos here on June 18. From June 21, she got missing up to now.
“We have not seen her or her body.”
The family later learned that one of the men allegedly connected to the case had reported himself at Panti police station.

The brother claimed the man initially told police and relatives that he had been attacked by his friends, but said the family remained unhappy with the explanations surrounding Chinaza’s disappearance.
He also raised concerns over the progress of the investigation.
“We are not relying on those police people on their own investigation. It’s getting to be too much. Nothing has been done.
“No arrest or nothing about those two guys,” he said.
But he stressed that the family’s priority was finding Chinaza.
“The only problem here is that I’m not seeing my sister.

“I’m not seeing her corpse or whether dead or alive.
“That is the problem,” he said.
Police have separately declared two men wanted in connection with the alleged conspiracy and murder.
Ajibola Obateru, 33, is wanted over allegations that he conspired with others to attack Chinaza, disposed of her body and stole her personal belongings.
Police said the alleged crime took place around the Shoreline axis of Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Obateru was described as a Yoruba man, around 5ft 9ins tall, thin and fair-skinned, with an oval face.
His last known address was given as Ajoda New Town, Ibadan, Oyo State.

A second man, Folawiyo Balogun Alagbado, 32, has also been declared wanted over the case.
Police allege he conspired with others to attack Chinaza, killed her and moved her body to an unknown location.
They also allege that her belongings were taken.
Alagbado was described as a Yoruba man of average height with a dark complexion, also with a last known address in Ajoda New Town.
Another suspect, identified as Hakeem, is currently being held at the SCID in Panti in connection with the investigation.
