A model has revealed she shuns flashy luxuries to spend more than a whopping £2,000 every month treating her four pampered cats to the “life they deserve”.

Cami Chan, who earns a massive £50,000 a month, could splash her cash on designer clothes, luxury holidays and supercars – but says she gets more pleasure from pampering her beloved felines.

The 28-year-old forks out on premium food, grooming, regular vet check-ups, endless toys, beds, clothes and other treats for Artemis, Kerrigan, Jupiter and Mercury.

Her spacious home is filled with places for them to sleep and play in every room; they have wardrobes of little outfits and Cami will even pay extra to bring them along when she travels.

Cami, who has 500,000 followers on Instagram (@camichanowo) says that the foursome “live better than most people” – and admits they probably own more possessions than she does.

And while some people might celebrate earning big money by buying designer clothes and sports cars, Cami says she would choose her cats every time and one of the first major purchases she made after finding online success was Artemis, a purebred ragdoll.

“I spend over £2,000 a month maintaining the four of them,” Cami, from Chicago, Illinois, US, said.

“That includes their food, litter, grooming, regular vet check-ups, toys and all the other little things they need.

“With four cats, everything adds up really quickly because you’re not just buying one of everything.

“It probably sounds like an absurd amount to spend on cats, but they’re my babies and I want them to have the best.

“They definitely live better than most people.

They deserve it.”

Artemis is a purebred ragdoll, while Mercury is a purebred Siamese. Kerrigan and Jupiter are mixed breeds.

And all four have very different personalities.
But there is one thing they have in common – none of them are short of home comforts.

Cami said: “It’s literally just me in a big house so they have all the space they need.

“They have stuff in every single room that they can lay on and play with. They probably get fed too much.”

And feeding four hungry felines is one of the expenses that sends Cami’s monthly bill soaring.

The cats are treated to canned wet food every other day, although they would happily have it much more often.

Cami said: “I like them to have good-quality food, so it’s one of those things where I don’t really look for the cheapest option.

“There are four of them eating, so even just food and litter becomes expensive when you add up what you’re spending across an entire month.

“Then I’m always seeing a new toy or bed and thinking they’d like it, even though they already have things all over the house.

“I’ve bought them clothes and little outfits too.

They probably have more possessions than me, but I love spoiling them.”

The pampering hasn’t stopped the foursome from being demanding housemates.

Cami says there is almost always somebody crying out for dinner, or leaving her another mess to clean up.

She said: “They are high maintenance. They are so messy.

“There’s always somebody throwing up.

There’s always somebody screaming for food.

“It’s way better than kids, obviously, but they are a handful.”

But the costs don’t end once their bowls are full.

Cami says having four animals means routine expenses such as grooming and veterinary care quickly multiply.

And when it comes to their health, she insists money is no object.

Cami said: “The maintenance never really stops. There’s always food and litter to buy and then you’ve got grooming, check-ups and all the unexpected things that come with having four animals.

“Vet bills are something I’ll never cut corners on. If one of them needs a check-up or there’s something wrong, I want them seen and looked after properly.

“But I don’t resent spending it. They’re my responsibility and I’m lucky enough to be able to afford to take care of them properly.”

Cami’s dedication to her pets can also make going away more expensive.

Although the self-confessed introvert prefers being at home and doesn’t travel often, she says that when she does go away and circumstances allow, she will pay extra to bring her cats along.

She said: “I’d much rather have them with me than be worrying about them the entire time I’m away.”

And Cami says she won’t compromise on their creature comforts once they arrive.

She said: “They’re used to having so much space and everything they need at home, so if they come away with me I want to make sure they’re just as comfortable.

“I know some people would rather spend that extra money upgrading their flight or hotel, but I’d rather spend it making sure my cats can be with me and are properly looked after.”

At home, Cami refuses to let any of the four cats roam outdoors.

She believes her purebred pets in particular would be at risk of being stolen.

Instead, they remain safely inside the large home where Cami says they have everything they could possibly need.

Cami’s love of animals actually predates her online success.

Before becoming an OnlyFans creator, she studied to become a veterinary technician but eventually dropped out of college.

After seeing other creators making money through OnlyFans, Cami decided to try it for herself.

She says she made enough within her first month to move out and has continued creating content ever since.

Now, she averages around £50,000 a month, with her most lucrative month bringing in £80,000.

But despite her huge earnings – and her willingness to spend heavily on her cats – Cami is conscious that the money may not last forever.

She has already bought her own home and says she tries to save and invest as much of her income as possible.

She added: “I know spending more than £2,000 every month on four cats sounds ridiculous to some people.

“But they’re part of my family. I work hard; I can afford to spoil them and seeing them happy is something I genuinely get enjoyment from.

“Some people dream about having a Lamborghini. I’d still choose my cats.”
