A desperate search for a missing 28-year-old woman has ended in tragedy after police found a body.
Holly Whittaker had been missing for 11 days after she was last seen in the Mapperley area of Nottingham.
Police launched an urgent search and issued a series of appeals in a bid to track her down.

But officers have now confirmed a woman’s body discovered on Tuesday (15 Sep) has been formally identified as Holly.
Her family are being supported by specially-trained officers following the “tragic development”.
Police said Holly’s death is not currently being treated as suspicious, as reported by Need To Know.
Holly was last seen in Mapperley at around 1.30pm on Friday, 4 September.
She was described as 5ft 7ins tall, with curly blonde and pink hair worn in a ponytail.
She also had piercings in her cheeks and nose and tattoos on her arms and legs.
When she disappeared, Holly was wearing a black T-shirt and black leggings and carrying a black rucksack.
Police said she was known to spend time in Nottingham city centre.
As concern for Holly grew, detectives trawled CCTV and appealed directly to members of the public for help finding her.
Days into the search, officers released CCTV images of several people they believed could hold potentially important information.
Police stressed those pictured were not in trouble but said they may have come across items which could help officers locate Holly.
Detective Chief Inspector Claire Gould said at the time: “We remain concerned for Holly’s welfare and believe the people shown in these images could be important witnesses.
“They are not in any trouble, but we are keen to speak with them as they may be able to assist our enquiries and help us locate Holly.”
The search came to a tragic end on Tuesday afternoon when officers discovered the body of a woman in the vicinity of Queen’s Road in Nottingham city centre.
Holly was subsequently formally identified.
DCI Gould, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our specially-trained officers are supporting Holly’s family at this difficult time, following yesterday’s tragic development.
“While the circumstances are still being investigated, at this time, we are not treating her death as suspicious.
“We would like to thank everyone who came forward with any information or shared our public appeals since Holly was first reported missing.
“A file will now be prepared for the coroner as our investigations continue.”
