A country singer and his girlfriend were allegedly murdered by a former neighbour in revenge after they intervened when he was assaulting his own partner.
Alan Tons and Larissa Rodrigues were found dead inside their home on Sunday morning (11 October).
Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots at around 2:30 am.

Alan, 26, was pursuing a singing career and performed at gigs with his band, 4 Tons.
Larissa, 23, worked as a cake decorator and dreamed of becoming a teacher.
The suspect has been identified as former neighbour João Victor Rodrigues Alves de Oliveira.

According to police, he frequently assaulted his partner and had been reprimanded by Alan and Larissa several times.
The couple regularly intervened in arguments and called the police to report the alleged abuse, according to reports.
The suspect had reportedly been arrested twice over violence against his partner but was released after she failed to pursue the complaints.
He allegedly threatened the couple after moving out of his flat in Ceilândia, in Brazil’s Federal District.
It remains unclear whether the suspect and the victims had a dispute in the early hours of Sunday or whether the killings were motivated by previous conflicts.

Larissa’s aunt, Giumara Rodrigues, told local media: “They thought the matter had been settled because the man had moved out.
“They stayed away from home for a few days because they were afraid of what might happen.”
The suspect went to a police station with a lawyer late on Sunday afternoon to give a statement, but denied committing the murders.
He remains the prime suspect in the double killing, as reported by Need To Know.
Alan and Larissa had been at a local bar on Saturday night (10 October), where Alan sang and played the guitar to a crowd.

He regularly shared videos of parties and events where he performed on social media.
The couple had been together for around a year and a half.
Larissa planned to start a degree in education next year.
Giumara, 51, said: “She was such a lovely girl. Our family is devastated. Her mum is inconsolable. We’re all in shock.”
At the time of the latest report, the suspect was still at the police station.
