Story by Jam Press (Dog Rug) Pictured: The rug with the mark which resembles Tonya's pet dog Bling (r). Woman left stunned seeing face of deceased dog in BATH MAT. A woman was left stunned to discover the face of her beloved dog staring back at her – through her bath mat. Tonya Hussey, 27, from Warrington, lost her treasured Lhasa Apso, Bling, after the pet's seventh birthday in 2019. The HR consultant did a double-take when she woke up to see a striking resemblance to the dog's face embedded in her bath mat a year after her death. With a defined nose, mouth and eyes, the rug's likeliness to Tonya's late Lhasa Apso in the fluffy rug is uncanny. The dog lover shared the image on Facebook last week (5 October), where it has left social media users shocked, with over 900 likes. "I walked into the bathroom when I woke up one morning and I had been feeling really down since I lost her," she told NeedToKnow.online. "I noticed a face and it's only until I looked at it closer I instantly thought that it was her. "I made the connection within a few seconds. "It brought tears to my eyes but I felt reassured she is now at peace. "I do believe it's a sign of something special." Bling died from an accident, which led to a fatal stroke, and Tonya was left heartbroken without her furry sidekick. During her short life, the adventurous canine accompanied her owner on many mountain hikes and loved the outdoors. Tonya said: "She meant the world to me. "She was very loving but could also be stubborn when it came to listening and she didn't like strangers. "Bling loved sitting in the window at home, watching the world go by and she loved climbing mountains with us all. "In the seven years of her life she climbed Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, Skiddaw, Whernside in Yorkshire and Scafell Pike. "She was like a posh pooch! She only ate chicken." Tonya Hussey, 27, from Warrington, lost her treasured Lhasa Apso, Bling, after the pet’s seventh birthday in 2019.

The HR consultant did a double-take when she woke up to see a striking resemblance to the dog’s face embedded in her bath mat a year after her death.

The dog lover shared the image on Facebook last week (5 October), where it has left social media users shocked, with over 900 likes.

“I walked into the bathroom when I woke up one morning and I had been feeling really down since I lost her,” she told NeedToKnow.online.

“I noticed a face and it’s only until I looked at it closer I instantly thought that it was her. “I made the connection within a few seconds.

“It brought tears to my eyes but I felt reassured she is now at peace.

“I do believe it’s a sign of something special.”

Bling died from an accident, which led to a fatal stroke, and Tonya was left heartbroken without her furry sidekick.

During her short life, the adventurous canine accompanied her owner on many mountain hikes and loved the outdoors.

Tonya said: “She meant the world to me.

“She was very loving but could also be stubborn when it came to listening and she didn’t like strangers.

“Bling loved sitting in the window at home, watching the world go by and she loved climbing mountains with us all.

“In the seven years of her life she climbed Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, Skiddaw, Whernside in Yorkshire and Scafell Pike. “She was like a posh pooch! She only ate chicken.”

Social media users have shared their thoughts on the unusual bath mat discovery.

“Omg that’s a spitting image,” wrote one person. [sic]

Had the same experience with my dog, he appeared in the sky after he passed away, signs they are with us no matter what….,” said one user. [sic]

“She is still looking out for you,” wrote someone else.

Another user was almost brought to tears, writing: “Almost made me cry.”

“Always with you,” wrote someone else.

This is not the first time Tonya has been given a sign from a deceased loved one.

She said: “Years ago, my dad took a photo of his BMW at a car park and we all noticed a shadow in the back of the car, which I believe was my grandad.

“I could even see the outlining of his St Helens shirt.

I do believe there is something in life after death. Even if it’s just one sign to say they are now at peace.”
