Story for Jam Press (Lighthouse Sale) Pictured: The lighthouse - the exterior. You can now live in a lighthouse – located 1,500ft from the closest shore. You can now live completely off the grid – floating in one of the world’s only offshore sparkplug-style lighthouses. Known as the 'Lighthome', the one-of-a-kind house is currently being used as a popular overnight retreat, having been booked out for the past six years and is already seeing 2024 dates almost sold out, too. And now, it’s up for grabs at £1m. Spanning over five levels, the one-bedroom home offers perfect 360-degree views as well as all the amenities for a cosy stay. On the first floor, guests are greeted by the foyer, a kitchen and a bathroom. With a fully functioning gas stove, oven and microwave, there is no need to go fishing for dinner. Once used as the sleeping quarters for the light keeper, the second floor has been transformed into a Victorian living room, ideal for relaxing. It even features a functional Victrola record player from 1910, offering a great opportunity for a late-night waltz. With a smart TV and a queen-sized bed, the fourth floor, formally the watchroom, sleeps up to two. The fifth floor is the lantern room, which offers panoramic views 50 ft above the bay. Travelling outside, the house has three decks, perfect for watching the waves, stunning sunsets and the passage of nearby boats. Located entirely off the grid, the lighthouse draws power from solar panels, with a generator, meaning you will never receive an energy bill. Floating 1,500 ft from the shores of Fall River in Massachusetts, the property can only be accessed by boat, but remarkably, phone service is not an issue. The extraordinary property is now on sale for £1m ($1.25m). ENDS EDITOR'S NOTES Press must include hyperlink somewhere in copy http://www.specialfinds.com as per case study's request. Case study requests not to use the phrase “floating lighthouse” anywhere in the copy.
