A fire at a popular Bangkok hotel has killed three tourists including a young doctor who got engaged just days before the tragic event.
Carolina Pimentel Canales de Albuquerque, 24, sadly lost her life in the fire.
The incident occurred on 29 December at the Ember Hotel in Thailand.

Carolina was on vacation with her boyfriend Fernando Resurreic¸a~o, 26.

The pair had recently got engaged on the trip after Fernando proposed to the 24-year-old five days before the fire.
According to initial reports, her fiancé managed to escape the fire by jumping from the window, suffering a broken leg in the process.
The fire started at the hotel on Tanee Road around 9.21 pm on Sunday, as reported by Need To Know.

Alagoas Doctors’ Union, which Carolina worked for, confirmed the couple were planning to return to Brazil between 29-30 December.
An American man named Freeman Timothy Jr, 35 and a 27-year-old Ukrainian Tuzov Victor, were also pronounced dead at Vajira Hospital and Samitivej Chinatown Hospital.
Members of the public have flooded Carolina’s social media with heartfelt messages.
Vitor Nunes said: “Rest in peace, very sad news.”

Cristina Oliveira added: “My condolences to the family, may God receive you for eternal life.”
Karla Neves said: “My condolences. May God comfort the whole family.”
One other said: “So beautiful, full of life, very sad. Go in peace and with our lady.”

Another stated: “My condolences to the whole family.”
