How to Wow Your Wedding Guests

What would a wedding day be without the guests? You and your partner might be the stars of the show, but your guests play a vitally important secondary role. Without them, the day will be a whole lot less special — and less fun. Indeed, the whole point of getting married, if you’re doing so for romantic reasons, anyway, is to declare your love in front of your friends and family.

They’ll make your day special, so make sure that you make the day special for them, too. In this post, we’ll run through a few handy strategies that’ll ensure your friends and family are dazzled by your wedding day from beginning to end.

Start on the Right Foot

You don’t have to wait for your guests to arrive before you start impressing them! You can do so before the wedding, too. Look at sending out beautiful, personalised wedding invitations that reflect the personalities of you and your partner. It can also be fun to set up your own wedding website, complete with fun trivia about you both, as well as providing some useful information for people who are visiting from far away.

Choose a Great Venue

Your guests will be looking the part and ready to have an awesome day. The quality of your wedding day will show them that that’s just what they’re in store for. A great wedding venue sets the tone for the whole day, helping to get it off to the best possible start. There’s no shortage of great spaces to hold your wedding day; it’s all about finding one that resonates with your personality. Barn wedding venues are a good option if you’re looking for a space that’s casual, elegant, and all-out beautiful, while a luxury city-centre venue will also make a big impression. When viewing potential venues, think about how they make you feel when you first arrive — if you get a ‘wow’ feeling, then your guests probably will, too.

Add Unexpected Touches To The Ceremony

Your wedding ceremony will be beautiful no matter what you do. But if you’re looking to really make an impression on your guests, then look at adding some unexpected touches. Walking down the aisle to a string quartet, for example, is about as romantic as it gets. You can also consider a dramatic entrance if you and your partner both have a theatrical side.

Bring the Party

Finally, don’t forget the party! This, along with the ceremony and the meal, is one of the main things that guests remember about a wedding. You can get the party started on the right foot by hiring a live band to warm up the crowd. After all, it’ll be all about the selections of the DJ. Looking to keep the party going all night? Look at putting together a chill-out zone where people can rest in between stints on the dancefloor, while it’s also recommended to serve up some food around midnight. There’s no better way to put a smile on their face than by unexpectedly handing them a delicious dish.
