The strange scenes were filmed at the Tepito metro station in the Mexican capital, Mexico City, on Sunday (23 Mar).
The man, 37, was eventually removed by the authorities.
The police said he showed clear symptoms of intoxication.
He was brought before the Civic Court, where it was confirmed he had been taking a substance that caused him to have high blood pressure.
His actions reportedly caused severe delays on Line B, as reported by Need To Know.
One local said: “Too bad the electricity didn’t do its job.”

Another added: “Send him to jail for trying to be funny.”
“Some very fine people asked the man to return to the platform nicely,” added a third viewer.
Edgar said: “The authorities should review the conditions in which people enter the metro; this route was delayed because of one idiot.”

Yeri added: “They should have just left him there.”
