A top-flight club made a blunder about racist language on a sign at their ground.

An eagle-eyed fan of a visiting club spotted it at Ross County’s 6,500-capacity Global Energy Stadium.

They lost 1-0 on Saturday (5 Apr) to Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.

The away supporter – named Glen – spotted the mistake in the club’s ground rules on the wall outside.

The code of conduct reads, ‘The following behaviour is not acceptable within the stadium.

“To refrain from any racist language or behaviour.”

The wording of the rules awkwardly states that it is not acceptable not to use racist language at the game, as reported by Need To Know.

The plaque even states that if fans contravene the above, stewards and police are authorised to remove them from the ground.

The match saw the 10th-placed Scottish Premier League home side lose to the 4th-placed visitors.

Glen said: “According to Ross County, it is not acceptable not to use racist language at the game.”

Fellow fans were left shocked by the mistake.

Peter Bellamy said: “The joy of a double negative.”
