How to do London Like a Content Creator (But Still Have a Good Time)

There are some trips that seem really fun, but might not be worth the stress in terms of making content, for example, maybe a road trip would be a good one (especially depending on where you’re going and the time of year). But then there are those “low-hanging fruit” destinations for content creators that are pretty amazing all year round, and just not really stressful in general. Actually, one of them would be London.

It’s easy to get caught up in the whole content thing when you’re in London. Every corner is cute, every coffee shop has “that light,” and the streets basically beg to be posted. But after the fifth outfit change in a pub toilet and a camera roll full of nearly-the-same angles, it starts to feel more like a job than a day out.

There’s a way to do it without turning the whole trip into a shoot schedule. You can get the aesthetic shots, the TikTok clips, and still actually enjoy yourself without needing a ring light in your bag.

Have a Loose Plan so You’re Not Wandering in Circles

That should be easy enough, right? Well, really, there’s no need for a strict itinerary, but it helps to know where you’re headed. Notting Hill? Gorgeous pastels, cute doors, and that dreamy energy. But of course, there’s other areas like Shoreditch, where you can expect more of a gritty vibe, with some graffiti walls, and cafés with iced matcha and oat milk by default. But of course, there’s South Bank, which is the whole classic London views with enough space to get a clean shot without someone’s elbow in frame.

Just pick a few places you know you’ll want to shoot and space them out with chill time in between. You’ll still get the content, but it won’t feel like you’re racing the daylight. Really, don’t try forcing it; that’s the worst thing a content creator can do.

Eat Somewhere that Looks Good but Tastes Better

It’s not just about the interiors, though, yes, those help. Pick places that look great on camera but also don’t serve sad salad just for the aesthetic. Yeah, a lot of touristy areas are super guilty of this. So, if you’re around the river or heading toward Tower Bridge, there are loads of restaurants near London Bridge that fully get the assignment. Basically, you’ll get the good lighting, nice plating, solid food, and maybe even a great view too (do your research of course).

Take the Photo, then Enjoy Stuff

Yeah, it’s pretty blunt, but you’re really better off just doing this. So, the café’s pretty, the latte art’s on point, the croissant’s flaky (and maybe some edible flowers to top off your food), and yeah, it’s all begging to be posted. So, just go ahead and take the photo, do the quick pan for your Reel if that’s your thing, then put your phone down and just… enjoy the vibe.

A lot of people, specifically try-hard content creators, are all about getting the perfect shot, the perfect video, the perfect capture in the perfect light, but unless you’re a food photographer getting paid for this, why bother? The point is to make memories that aren’t just on your phone.

No one’s having a good time when their food’s cold because you need five angles of your plate. Seriously, just snap it, love it, move on. You’ll thank yourself later.
