The horrifying moment a man fell from a police car and into a river has been caught on camera.
Melton Smith, 73, had been travelling in the back of the police vehicle when it crossed over a bridge, and footage shows him appearing to tumble out of the door and into the water.
He appears to be clutching what looks like a car tyre as he falls from the car, onto the road and into the river below.

The incident happened on Wednesday (12 November) in Flat Bridge, near Kingston in Jamaica.
A statement issued by the police’s Constabulary Communications Network (CCN) stated that Smith reportedly jumped from the service vehicle as it travelled across and fell into the Rio Cobre.
Emergency teams later found his body downstream, as reported on Need To Know.
The Rio Cobre, which runs beneath the narrow Flat Bridge, is renowned for its strong currents and sudden depth changes.
The Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau (IPROB) and the Independent Commission of Investigations have launched investigations into the incident.
