A 43-year-old teacher has died after undergoing liposuction surgery and suffering complications.
Regina Brumley Kerr underwent multiple cosmetic procedures at the same time, including a tummy tuck, liposuction on her arms, and a fat transfer.
But she suffered complications from the procedures at the private clinic and was taken to hospital for emergency care on Thursday (22 Jan).

Regina passed away at Hospital México, in the Costa Rican capital San José, the following day.
She was the third woman to die following plastic surgery in the city in just a week.
Regina worked as a teacher at the Siquirres Bilingual Experimental School and the Padre Roberto Evans Saunders Technical College.
A school spokesperson said: “We stand in solidarity with her family and wish her peace that surpasses all understanding.”
An Association of Secondary School Teachers spokesperson said: “Regional Board 30 extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Regina Brumley Kerr, a fellow member of the Padre Roberto Evans Saunders Technical College and the Siquirres Bilingual Experimental School.”
The authorities are waiting for the autopsy results to confirm her exact cause of death.
Her death follows the passing of two other San José residents in the same week, as reported by Need To Know.
Cinthya Carvajal Guevara died after reportedly undergoing an operation at a private clinic.
The 48-year-old suffered a serious reaction and passed away on 15 January.
Four days later, a second woman died after undergoing a procedure at a different city clinic.
Ivannia Torres Cubillo reportedly underwent a tummy tuck and at least two other cosmetic procedures.
The 40-year-old had the surgery on 10 January, but her health began to deteriorate in the days immediately afterwards.
She passed away on Monday (19 Jan) morning.
Both deaths remain under investigation.
The College of Physicians reminded citizens to always check surgeons’ credentials beforehand to ensure they specialise in cosmetic operations and have been officially endorsed.
