A base jumper leapt from a rooftop bar as spooked staff begged him to stop in a heart-stopping moment caught on video.
The skydiver was seen climbing onto a table overlooking the cityscape while wearing sportswear, a safety helmet and a large backpack.
One bar worker said: “Sir, you can’t do that.”

He replied: “Why not?”
Another staff member then approached the base jumper, but she could only hold her head in her hands as he counted “three, two one” and leapt from the glass panels.
On the ground, the skydiver’s colleagues filmed him parachuting to a park area before picking him up in a blue Nissan Frontier truck.
Footage of the stunt went viral on X, with 2.1m views and hundreds of comments, as reported by Need To Know.
The jump took place at the 360° Rooftop Bar Restaurant on the 41st floor of the Riu Plaza Hotel in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The man reportedly plunged a distance of around 656ft (200m) last Sunday (8 Feb).
Up to six people are believed to have helped him carry out the jump and escape.
After the clip was widely circulated online, the Guadalajara government carried out an inspection at the rooftop bar yesterday (11 Feb).
They discovered several irregularities concerning protocols and safety measures and temporarily closed the venue until they are addressed.
Meanwhile, the authorities are trying to track down the base jumper, allegedly nicknamed “Jarro”.
They are currently reviewing city CCTV cameras to establish the getaway vehicle’s route.
A government spokesperson said: “No pursuit of notoriety or content on social media will be above the law.”
If tracked down, the suspect could face a fine of around £25,000 (586,000 MXN) and a prison sentence of up to four years.
The police probe continues.
