A reckless driver has ploughed their Audi into a ramen restaurant, with a woman rushed to hospital.

Footage taken from the scene of the crash shows the back end of the vehicle sticking out the front of the business.

A pedestrian in her 20s was rushed to hospital following the crash with four other people treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The full front wall was caved in during the bizarre incident closing the restaurant until further notice.

The black Audi ploughed through the front of Ippudo Ramen Bar on Essex Road, Islington, London, as reported by Need To Know.

The crash took place around 10pm on 17 April with the Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade and the London Ambulance Service called to the scene.

In the clip, which racked up over 13,400 views online, police can be seen taping off the road.

At the time the Audi was left inside the restaurant with its hazards on.

The driver remained at the crash site with no arrests made as of yet.

The condition of the pedestrian rushed to hospital is currently unknown.

A passerby jokingly claimed the driver was trying to go for a ‘late drink’.

The witness, who filmed the footage, stated: “He was trying to go for a late drink.

“What is he doing?

“This is crazy.”

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “Officers attended with the London Fire Brigade and the London Ambulance Service.

“A pedestrian, a woman in her 20s, was taken to hospital – we await an update on her condition.

“Four other people were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

“The driver remained at the scene. No arrests have been made at this time.

“Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 8785/17APR.”

Members of the public were left shocked by the clip.

One person said: “Aw, that place was only reopened last year.”

Another person added: “You can’t park there mate even with your hazards on.”

One other person said: “It came out of nowhere I tell you.”

One person added: “Not Ippudo.”
