A young nurse has died after undergoing a liposuction procedure.
Nayeli Larrahondo attended a beauty clinic on Friday (5 Jun) for the operation but suffered complications during the treatment.
She was rushed to a local hospital, where staff confirmed she had arrived with no vital signs and she was pronounced dead.
Her death is now under investigation by authorities, who are seeking to establish the exact cause and determine whether any irregularities occurred during the procedure.
According to one version of events, she suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest during surgery, as reported by Need To Know.

Nayeli worked as a nurse at a public hospital in Cali, Colombia, and was originally from Puerto Tejada, where she underwent the procedure.
Authorities will also assess whether the facility met the legal requirements for performing this type of surgery.
They are investigating a version of events suggesting a nurse may have carried out the procedure, although there are currently no arrests or suspects.
In a social media post from December 2025, Nayeli wrote: “Don’t try to compete with my looks – I always win people over with my personality.”

The Municipal Administration of Puerto Tejada said in a statement: “We urge the public to ensure that any professionals and facilities providing care are properly authorised and comply with all current legal and regulatory requirements.
“Being informed and taking precautions are essential to protecting health and saving lives.”
