A stumped Brit has spotted a dolphin swimming in the Thames.
Verity Carter Johnson couldn’t believe her eyes when she popped out for a run alongside the river.
The 29-year-old saw something bubbling in the water with a few passersby also having their eyes drawn to it.

The commercial manager’s jaw almost hit the floor when she saw a dolphin break through the surface of the river.
The Londoner captured brilliant footage of the animal and immediately shared it on TikTok, where it has racked up over 43,000 views.
“I couldn’t believe my eyes when I looked in the water,” Verity, from Brighton, told Need To Know.

“Some people were pointing and, at first, I thought they were looking at rowers.
“Then suddenly a fin popped up and I realised it was a dolphin.
“I was so over the moon because I nearly didn’t go on that run.
“It felt like a little sign from the universe.”
Verity was on her routine evening exercise track in Fulham, where she has lived for the last five years.
She spotted the commotion in the Thames on 30 Jun with her Strava immediately paused to investigate.
However, the footage has caused a few concerns from animal lovers.
Unfortunately, in many cases dolphins this far up the Thames are often disoriented and rarely survive the journey.
Verity said: “A lot of people are excited but some are concerned about why the dolphin was so far up in Fulham.
“I reported it to the British Divers Marine Life Rescue.
“They said they had quite a few calls about it and are monitoring the situation.
“Thankfully, they said the dolphin didn’t seem distressed, so they’re happy for it to continue its journey.
“I had no idea dolphins could appear in the Thames at all.”
Sadly, the dolphin was discovered dead on the banks of River Thames in south west London.
On Thursday (2 Jul), the animal was found on the foreshore at Mortlake in Richmond-upon-Thames.
The male short-beaked common dolphin was spotted numerous times in the Thames before being found on the shore.
