A woman who was left looking like an alien with horns has had the trendy eyebrow lift removed – but now compares herself to an “egg”.

Jessie Carr, 21, a gym receptionist from Sydney, Australia, was eager to get ‘fox eye’ surgery inspired by celebrities including Bella Hadid, who have the unique look.

She paid $2,000 AUD (£1,118) for the procedure – which promises to last between 18-24 months – after travelling to New South Wales for the surgery.

However, the surgery didn’t go according to plan – leaving Jessie with protrusions on her forehead resembling “horns”.

After documenting her “biggest regret” on TikTok (@_jessiecarr), which has been viewed over 5.4million times, Jessie returned last week to reverse the procedure.

Surgeons gave her two options – the first to remove the threads surgically or to ‘dissolve’ the threads using an alternative method known as Ultaformer.

After undergoing one session of Ultraformer and seeing little change, Jessie decided to opt for surgery to get rid of her horns once and for all.

Surgeons made a small incision into the sides of her head and after the surgery, she saw the sides of her face swell to the size of “two golf balls”.

But despite the swelling, Jessie says she is glad she got them removed despite claiming she now “looks like an egg”.

“The pain is probably a 9/10. There is an intense pressure on my temples and it feels like my head is about to explode,” Jessie said in a recent TikTok video.

“I get the worst migraines and even my jaw at times is really sore, I think because of all the pressure. Maybe I’m clenching my jaw a lot or something.

“But I’m glad that I got it done.”

Jessie has documented her removal on her TikTok account over the past couple of weeks, which have racked up hundreds of thousands of views.

One TikToker user said: “Hope u get better it looks so painful.” [sic]

A second social media user added: “Babeeee you are beautiful no matter what.” [sic]

“Guess lesson learned babe. Wishing you full recovery,” said someone else.

A shocked follower said: “I can’t believe the swelling. Did they swell like this when you got them done?”

Another commenter replied to the video: “Girl I wish you just waited for them to dissolve, hope you’re better asap looks so painful.”

Expert Tunc Tiryaki, Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Cadogan Clinic says those wanted to achieve the ‘fox eye’ look should always do their research.

He said: “There are four ways to achieve the fox eye look.

“The first option is using filters or photoshop which is the safest.

“The second is using minimally invasive approaches including threads and skin tightening. Threads are sutures which are used to lift the skin.

“The fox eye effect is achieved by entering inside the hairline with a needle and going down to the lateral part of the eye and brow and pulling it up and securing into position.

“In this particular case, the threads are too superficial, resulting in a horn-like appearance caused by shadowing and bulging of the threads.

“The third way of achieving fox eye or lateral eyebrow elevation is a brow lift which is performed from inside the hairline, pulling the lateral parts of the eye and brow upwards and closing it, or making an incision at the edge of the eyebrow and to pull the brow upwards.

“Finally the fourth is through botox but this needs regular maintenance and the effects aren’t permanent.

“It’s important to do your research. Irreversible and permanent damage can be done.

“Using threads can be as risky as undergoing surgery.

“It’s also important to remember that the fox eye look is a fad – what may be “fashionable” or desirable now is not necessarily something you will want to live with forever.”
