A woman has shared a “genius” hack to save money and get around the 100ml liquid maximum rule in hand luggage at the airport.
Holly Louise, 22, was jetting off to Turkey with her pal earlier this month when she decided she was fed up of paying through the nose for sunscreen and shower gel at the airport.
All airlines have a 100ml liquid rule where a passenger cannot exceed the limit per item in their carry-on luggage, and have to fit in a 20cm x 20cm plastic bag.

But savvy Holly decided to buy all her toiletries at a Boot’s store located in Gatwick Airport – saving her time and money.
She placed the order two weeks before jetting off on holiday, and picked up her goodies after going through security.
Not only did she curb restrictions, but it meant she didn’t have to pay airport prices which are often higher than the high street.
Captioning the video of her collecting her goodies, Holly wrote: “This is your sign to do a Boots order for collection at the airport so you can get over 100ml.”
She showed her large bag of Boots products which were over the liquid restrictions which included full-size sun cream, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, after sun, body lotion, body spray and a hair mask, ready to take on holiday.

The video was shared on her TikTok (@hollylouise.22) where it was viewed more than 554,000 times and racked up 27,000 likes.
One person said: “THIS IS GENIUS. I was literally thinking of buying things in duty free, but then found this! Thaaaaanks.” [sic]
Another social media user added: “I love this! I always just pay for check-in baggage so I never worry but I’ll be trying this next time.”
“Man I wish I knew that before,” commented another viewer.
“Best idea yet!!!” said someone else.

But some were already privy to the hack, with one person commenting: “I’ve done this for years. Also means you can choose from the web site so you get what you want rather than sometimes limited brands at the airport.”
“I can’t believe I hadn’t been doing it before,” Holly told NeedToKnow.online.
“It not only saved me money because I avoided airport prices and got extra discounts and offers online but also meant I could have more choice of products than the limited choice in the airport.
“I didn’t have any problem getting it on the plane as it counted as duty free.
“And I shared it all with my friend so we managed to use it up and didn’t have to carry it on the flight back with us.”
