Fortnum and Mason are selling a fried breakfast box for Father’s Day – for a cost of living crisis-busting £60.
The posh store is selling the gift for the same price as a weekly shop for struggling families.
The pricey box includes eight sausages and a pack of bacon.
It also comes with a small loaf of sourdough bread and a tiny portion of butter.
A bottle of ketchup and Fortnum’s ‘181 sauce’ is also included.
The box also includes six eggs.
This comes as many Brits are struggling to make ends meet during the cost of living crisis due to high inflation.
Many are also finding it hard to get their hands on eggs due to a shortage in supermarkets.
Full English brekkie loving dads can also wash it down with either coffee or breakfast tea – which is included in the box.
The posh shop is selling the extortionate breakfast as part of their Father’s Day gift collection.
However, if you were to buy the staples from Tesco, you could save £43.61.
The same items from the supermarket total just £16.39.
The listing reads: “Delight your loved ones with a marvellous Fortnum’s breakfast with all the trimmings.
”This handy box has been crafted to ensure that you start the day with only the finest, and most delicious, feast.
“The delicious, smoked Streaky Bacon is the star of this breakfast box.
”This type of bacon is the perfect partner to the other scrumptious goodies inside this box, including Cacklebean Eggs, F&M Salted Butter, Seeded Sourdough, Rare Breed Pork Sausages, Fortnum’s 181 Sauce and Tomato Sauce – perfect for making bacon and sausage butties.
”This box also includes our Breakfast Blend Tea and India Harley Estate Ground Coffee.”
At Tesco a six pack of eggs is £1.80, eight sausages are £2.30 and ten rashers of bacon cost £2.10
Its sourdough loaf is £2, ketchup is £1.35, brown sauce £1.05 and butter is £1.89.
The supermarket chain’s coffee is £2.80 and 80 teabags are only £1.10, a total of £16.39.
