Stunning images show a kingfisher grappling with its lunch as the fish fights desperately for its life.
Battling with its dinner, the kingfisher shows off its technique as it bashes the fish against a log, before scarfing its dinner whole.
These snaps were captured by professional photographer Andy Green, in West Sussex, using a Canon R5 camera.
Sharing his finds on Instagram (@spaceman.pics), he has garnered over 20,000 followers.

“It is always exhilarating photographing kingfishers,” the 41-year-old, from Kent, told NeedToKnow.co.uk.
“They are one of the most sought-after species to capture in the UK and outside of hide photography they are very difficult to get close to as they are skittish and extremely fast.
“Their hunting behaviour is wonderful to watch and seeing that sudden and fleeting blue streak fly past you is always a thrill.
“The hide environment allowed me to take my time with these photos which you often don’t have the luxury of when sitting by a river or lake.
“This time allowed me to capture as much personality as I could.
“Capturing the personality and telling a story is my number one aim whenever I am out with my camera and I was really pleased how this set came out.

“The expression on the fish’s face is both unfortunate for the fish but really added that extra edge.”
Andy shared a close-up clip, gaining 29,000 views, the kingfisher can be seen turning around and staring at the camera before proceeding to bash the fish on a log.
Posting the shots on Instagram, gaining over 3,000 likes as users flooded to compliment his images.
