A Newcastle superfan has transformed his bathroom into a mini St James’ Park behind his wife’s back.
James Longworth renovated the downstairs bog whilst his wife, Taz, was away on a spa weekend.
The dad-of-three laid strips of astroturf on the floor to resemble the iconic football pitch.
He also installed a £200 mural of the Toon Army’s stadium that he purchased online.
This was plastered over the entire wall opposite the sink.

James, 40, of Burnley, Lancashire, also painted the rest of the walls in black and white stripes – representing the team’s famed home kit.
The final touches include footy scarves, shirts, and framed signed prints from players.
The total renovation – including memorabilia – set him back £700.
Every time the door opens, a soundbox plays ‘Local Hero’ – the team’s anthem.
He came up with the idea after struggling to get tickets since the Saudi takeover.

James said: “Since the takeover of the club, I have not been able to get any tickets at all to watch the Toon at St James’ or even away games, and living in Burnley I wanted my own St James’.
”After all, the wife did say I could do anything I wanted.
”But she definitely was not expecting what was coming.”
”My original idea was to just paint black and white stripes and put up a few prints on the wall.
”That all quickly changed when I started looking online.
”The idea for the artificial grass came from a comment on Facebook.
”I posted some pictures and a lasy dared me to put down artificial grass, so I thought, ‘Why not?’
”I was either going to be in big trouble from the Mrs or she was going to love it.”
Taz, 33, trusted her hubby to do up the bathroom whilst she enjoyed her weekend away.
However, she told James not to do anything “too loud.”
James added: “She would either love it or I was getting divorced.
”As she opened the door the music hit and so did the laughs.
”Luckily for me, she loved it… but was not a fan of the grass.
”Her exact words were – ‘How am I supposed to mop that?’
”Luckily I’m still married and have my own St James’ Park now”
