A teenager suffers from a mysterious illness that causes her to bleed from her eyes, nose, and mouth.
Leyanis Montero says she’s been living with the frightening condition for a decade.
The 19-year-old chose to go public with it for the first time after baffled medics repeatedly failed to diagnose her.

Leyanis said: “I already feel bad about living day after day with this sentence.
“Knowing that I don’t have a diagnosis and that the doctors have given up on my case.”
She added that she’d been seen by several professionals in her native Cuba over the years.
And she told how samples of her blood had even been sent to Spain for analysis.
“But I still don’t have an answer,” she revealed.
Leyanis – who lives in Pinar del Río, west of Havana – added: “I’m already 19 years old, and both my parents and I are desperate.
“We need an answer.
“No human being can live like this with a disease and without a diagnosis or treatment, and it’s been 10 years, for God’s sake.”
She shared a series of graphic snaps showing blood streaming down her face.

Leyanis went on: “The doctors provide no answers.
“And this is not a game, no one can live like this, knowing they have something and not knowing what it is.
“It’s very sad to be sleeping and feel like you’re choking on blood clots in your throat.
“Please help me by sharing this, let’s see if it can reach someone who can assist me.”
After her post, some social media users suggested she suffers from immune thrombocytopenic purpura.
It is a blood disorder characterised by a decrease in the number of platelets in the blood. This can cause easy bruising, bleeding gums, and internal bleeding.

Others said she might have haemophilia, a vitamin K deficiency, or Von Willebrand disease – a lifelong bleeding disorder in which your blood doesn’t clot properly.
But Leyanis remains undiagnosed by professionals.
She recently shared a post asking Saint Lazarus, a celebrated saint among Cubans, for “help and peace in our lives”.
