Emma’s ‘mysterious golf ball sized lump’ on her forehead.

A woman has gone viral sharing the moment she discovered a golfball-sized lump on her forehead – which came and went within 24 hours and has reportedly left doctors stumped.

Emma McIntyre spotted the lump growing during the evening, before taking a video to monitor the growth and decided she would visit the doctor the next morning.

But when the 37-year-old woke up, the huge lump had completely disappeared.

She still went to see the doctor, but said they were shocked and didn’t have any answers.

The stay-at-home mum, who has four children, also shared the bizarre experience with her 35,500 followers on TikTok, (@flexx_et), where the video has gathered 17.7 million views so far.

“It didn’t hurt at all, not even when I tried to ‘pop’ it” Emma, from Mackay, Queensland, Australia, told NeedToKnow.co.uk.

“At most, I could feel pressure and at its biggest, I’d say it was the size of a golfball.

“I still decided to visit the doctors the next day to see if they knew what was going on.

“But they had zero clue — my doctor, as well as other doctors in the clinic, took a look and not one of them could come up with something.

“It had completely disappeared and all I had was a video to show them!”

The clinic sent Emma for a CT scan to be on the safe side but it came back clear, and there is still no explanation for the strange lump.

She said: “I thought it was just stress-related and still do.

“My husband had recently been diagnosed with kidney failure due to polycystic kidneys, resulting in a lot of time off work.

“My dog needs surgery so he can breathe clearly.

“A lot of financial stress and life stress and I think my head just can’t handle it all, resulting in some sort of mysterious stress bump!

“I have no answers for it coming and going like that!

“No injuries, no bites, no botox, absolutely no reason.

“I do want answers but I’m not obsessing over it.

“I always feel there’s a chance it could pop up again, I can still feel pressure every now and then, especially the more stressed and angry I get.”

The mass appeared on 3 October 2023 with the mum later sharing the story to TikTok, where it has since gone viral with around 250,000 likes and over 6,000 comments from baffled users.

In the video, Emma can be seen trying to pop the mass using floss.

She stands in front of her bathroom mirror, with the lump on show and glides the floss from the top to the bottom.

She attempts this a couple of times but it does not work.

“Girl. Go to the hospital,” said one user.

Morgan added: “You should get a CT scan! I had something like this on my skull and it turned out to be a benign tumour- not to alarm you but I’d get checked!”

Kellie added: “Looks like fluid pocket from sinus.”

“That’s so dangerous,” said Katt.

“I’m gonna cry what is this,” said another follower.

Emma added: “I have been very surprised with the reactions online, didn’t expect it to blow up.

“I have received a lot of love, advice, insights and have been able to communicate with random people all over the world, so I think it’s all great!

“Seems other people have had this type of thing as well, so it’s comforting to know I’m not alone.”
