A heartwarming video shows how a policeman pulled a trapped pooch from a storm drain.
It’s not known how the dog ended up in the sewer, but locals reported hearing a strange noise.
James Rafael Barros and a colleague were on patrol when the locals found them and told them about what they’d heard.

James and his colleague went over to the roadside drain and realised there was a dog stuck inside.
Footage of the rescue shows how the uniformed officer lay on his front and grabbed the trapped pooch’s front legs.
The dog tried to lift itself out through the narrow gap, but the test proved too tricky.
Another man could be seen grabbing the pooch’s ears in a bid to pull its head out of the tight spot in Foz do Iguaçu, west of São Paulo, Brazil.
Despite squeezing its head through the gap, most of its body remained stuck underground.
Eventually, with a bit of force, James managed to pull the dog free on Wednesday (24 Jul) afternoon.
He could be seen smiling with relief at the outcome, as reported on Need To Know.
The pooch, meanwhile, managed to stand upright with no apparent injuries following the scary ordeal.
It’s not clear if it has an owner.
