A professional urban explorer has discovered an abandoned home that he claims is filled with animal bones and skulls – reportedly dubbed the “Chainsaw Massacre House”.
When Shaun Parkinson discovered the property, he assumed it was a simple cottage that had been forgotten in time.
But as he and his friends entered inside, a dark mystery unfolded and its shocking history came to light.
In a clip shared on YouTube, (@urbexingwithshaun ), the 40-year-old reveals the unsettling findings.

He tours around the outside, where overgrown shrubbery and rotting walls can be seen, before entering inside.
As he does, what appears to be animal skin can be seen hanging from doors, along with skulls scattered around and bits of what looks like meat swinging from the ceiling and stairs.
Many of the ex-occupier’s possessions are found, as well as furniture and clothes, along with an old grand piano, sewing machine, and piles of letters.

Upstairs, broken beds, old teddy bears, and toys are shown to have been left behind.
“It’s nicknamed the ‘Chainsaw Massacre House’ because of the meat hanging up on the doors and banisters and all the animal bones scattered about,” Shaun, from Halifax, told NeedToKnow.co.uk.
“There was even dried pig skin hanging from hooks by string attached to the ceilings and even large chunks of meat still hanging on the backs of doors and on the banister rails.

“The house still had all the families’ possessions set out as though they had just up and left.
“[There were] ornaments still sat on the fireplace and on shelves, clothes still hanging in wardrobes and strewn over the floor and food still sat in cupboards.
“[I also] opened the large chest freezer, which to our horror was still full to the brim with bags of rotten meat, maggots were crawling all over them and the smell that wafted out made everyone heave.”
Shaun also found a calendar from 1990, giving an idea of the year in which the home was abandoned for good.

He added: “Many years ago it was a nice family home with much laughter and memories.
“It was an active farm, where they slaughtered their own animals for the meat.

“But sadly the parents passed away, and the children have never visited the home since, leaving it to deteriorate.”
