The horror unfolded on Sunday (14 Apr) afternoon after Elisangela tied the knot the day before.
Guests pulled her out immediately and emergency medics took her to hospital.
But doctors were unable to save her life.
Her wedding party was held at a country house in Limeira, northwest of São Paulo, Brazil.
It was a joint party with her daughter, who was celebrating her birthday, as reported on Need to Know.
Moments before the fall, Elisangela had shared a photo showing her signing her marriage documents in her wedding dress.
One of her sisters had commented: “Congratulations, best wishes to the couple, sis and brother-in-law.”
Another sister had written: “I wish you all the happiness in the world for your life. Sending hugs to my brother-in-law.”
Several friends said on social media that Elisangela had a “phobia” of water.
One wrote: “She had a water phobia. They took her out immediately, but she went into cardiac arrest.”
The police are regarding her death as accidental.
