A mayor was left red-faced when his trousers fell down as he gave a speech after losing weight.
Jorge Elías Chams Chams was filmed shaking his head and raising his eyebrows after the gaffe as he stood behind the lectern.
The blunder happened as the mayor spoke at the 109th anniversary of a local educational institution on Monday (15 Apr).

Several men in religious garb sitting behind him could be seen gasping and giggling as the mishap unfolded.
Meanwhile, Chams and the woman standing next to him could be seen scrambling to pull his trousers back over his white boxer shorts.
As the top official of Sabanalarga, Colombia, chuckled nervously, a voice could be heard yelling “A round of applause for the mayor” to boost his spirits.
Chams’ first words amid the good-natured laughter in the hall were: “Today goes down in history, I’ve lost eight kilos.”
After the clip was shared on social media, Javier joked: “The salary isn’t enough for him to buy a belt.”
Another quipped: “Share the diet with us then, since it’s working.”
Rector Dalmiro García Henríquez of the Institución Educativa de Sabanalarga CODESA later issued a statement chiding the press for reporting on Chams’ “regrettable mishap”, as reported on Need To Know.
He added that the mayor’s “only sin” was “being a good public servant”.
