A thief armed with an angle grinder pinches a moped parked outside a packed pub.
He squatted down to use the power tool to slice through the lock.
Clad in black, with a white motorcycle helmet he seemed undeterred by passing cars and pedestrians.
Sparks could be seen flying from the angle grinder.
An accomplice was seen on another scooter in the car park out the front.
A member of staff at The George IV boozer in Chiswick High Road, Chiswick, west London also looked on.
The 18-second video ends as the crook wheeled the moped away.
Local Calvin McDonald said: “I’d love to have been there to catch these lot in the act.
“Put it this way, the bike would be safe, and one of them would be pinned down by me feeling rather sorry for themselves.
“Whilst we wait for the old bill to take them away.
“Hate thieves, they really are bottom feeders.”
Another – named Dan – said: “Lawless London.”
A third added: “London is wild.”It happened on Saturday night (20 Apr).
It came after an attempted theft of a moped the same night six miles away in a residential street in Earlsfield, southwest London.
One crook crouched down on the ground using the power tool on the lock as the other two stood guard next to their own scooter.
A fourth sat on another moped opposite with its headlight on so they could see what they were doing.
Sparks could be seen coming off the angle grinder in a 16-second video from a security camera on a house on the road.
They were also captured on a doorbell camera from a neighbouring home.
The 30-second clip showed the moment the gang got scared off.
They suddenly got spooked as someone shouted at them and they fled on their own scooters.
It is not known if the theft and attempted thefts are being linked, as reported by Need To Know Regarding the Earlsfied attempted theft, one local – named Nick – said: “When you aren’t legally allowed to defend yourself.
“And the criminals don’t fear the police, you get this.”
Arianna Michaels fumed: “The criminal justice system is weak.
“While at the same time, Sadiq Khan spends all his money on the hard-working taxpayers.
“By taxing them with more and more vanity projects, ULEZ and soon the new £1 per mile project.”
The Met Police has been approached for comment.
