Around 20 inmates tried to break out of prison through a tunnel only to be met by a team of waiting cops.
The officers were stunned to witness the scenes as they were taking part in a training course outside.
The hilarious clip of the great escape shows several red-faced men in yellow boiler suits being apprehended.

The officers had to assist the suspected criminals through the tight space before leading them back inside the prison.
Around 20 prisoners were involved in the breakout and little did they know some 30 police officers were attending a training session outside and saw everything.
The situation became nervy for the cops who were not carrying weapons, but luckily, the prisoners were also unarmed at the time of the breakout.
As the tunnel opening was so small, the escapees were only able to squeeze straight into the arms of the waiting cops.
They were promptly rounded up and sent back inside, as reported by Need To Know.
The bizarre scenes were filmed outside the detention centre of police HQ in Maracaibo, Venezuela, on 17 April.
Mayor Rafael Ramírez Colina posted on social media that “everything is now under control”, adding three inmates needed treatment for minor injuries.
Police Chief Commissioner Gustavo Basabe said they are investigating the attempted break-out to prevent a similar situation occurring in the future.
One local commented: “Only in Venezuela.”
Another said: “The cops told each of them ‘you’re nicked, you’re nicked, you’re nicked’…”
