Rotherham’s goalkeeper has offered to buy 600 pints for fans to say thank you after a torrid season
Viktor Johansson has put a card behind the bar at a local boozer for diehard fans.
The goalie’s kind gesture comes as the relegated club faces Cardiff tomorrow (4 May) in the Championship.

Fans can enjoy a free, pre-match beer in the Cutlers Arms in Rotherham, on him.
The boozer is just around the corner from their 12,000-capacity New York Stadium home.

The 25-year-old stopper has also gifted a signed shirt to the pub to be raffled on the day to raise money for the Rotherham Hospice.

Young supporters will also be able to enjoy a free drink as Viktor has paid for unlimited soft drinks for the children.
Despite The Millers’ tough season which has seen them finish at rock bottom of the table, the fans have rejoiced after this thank-you event was revealed
Although it was announced as a thank-you event, many fans fear that this will be Viktor’s way of saying goodbye to the supporters.
The goalkeeper is rumoured to leave Rotherham at the end of the season, bringing his four-year career at the club to an end.
During his time at the club, the Swedish shot-stopper has made 143 appearances.
Victoria Elliott, the manager at the Cutlers Arms told Need To Know: “This is a fantastic gesture from Viktor, a Rotherham United legend.

“He is paying for 600 pints and also unlimited soft drinks for the kids.
“He is raffling off his signed shirt in aid of Rotherham Hospice and this will be drawn at 11.45am on the day.
“The shirt is on display behind the bar.
“We want to raise as much money as possible for a charity close to Viktor’s heart that he has visited numerous times.
“Viktor came in last night to bring my son Ollie some signed gloves and the signed shirt for the raffle on Saturday.

“Viktor is unbelievably generous and down to earth, he had time for everyone in the pub who came up to see him and have pictures.
“It’s been the first time we have ever had a football player put money behind the bar for the supporters.
“We want to thank Viktor for this amazing generous gesture.”
