A 27-year-old woman has died after being tossed 30 metres down the road by a dangerous driver.
Rita Granata was taken to hospital but passed away on Wednesday (8 May) morning.
The horror began in the early hours of Sunday (5 May) when she was returning home from a night out.

She said goodbye to her friends, got out of the taxi, and crossed the street to her front door.
As she walked across the road, a 24-year-old driver hit her head-on.
She was struck with such force that she landed on the pavement 30 metres away.
The driver with his 22-year-old friend in the passenger seat simply drove off.
Half an hour later, he returned to the scene in Naples, Italy, where he was identified by the police.
He is now charged with manslaughter, as reported on Need to Know.
Rita arrived at hospital with extensive polytrauma, internal injuries, and brain swelling, which required a delicate operation.
Despite the medics’ hard work to keep her alive, her heart eventually stopped beating.
Rita was an international relations graduate and worked for the Europe Study Centre think tank as a supervisor and research partner.
She loved judo and the Campania Judo Promotion and Development Federation paid tribute to her, writing that she had been a “valuable figure”.
Naples City Council president Enza D’Amato has sent her “heartfelt condolences” to Rita’s family and friends.
