His girlfriend Celia Pedraza informed reporters that Herrán had been involved in a road accident.
Hours later, the 28-year-old actor posted a photo of him wearing a neck brace in hospital for his 11.8 million Instagram followers, as reported by Need To Know.
The Spanish star assured fans that he is “fine.”

Herrán wrote: “I had a motorcycle accident by myself.
“I wasn’t going very fast and everything turned out well.
“I underwent surgery on my right shoulder and I will have to spend some time without being able to move around much.
“But I’m fine.”

The actor also thanked the CEMTRO Clinic in Madrid for taking good care of him and performing “such a wonderful operation and for leaving every bone in its place”.
The passionate motorcyclist added: “Thanks to my protective gear, I only suffered a dislocation of my collarbone.”
Herrán is best known for playing Aníbal Cortés – aka Rio – hit Money Heist, and Christian Varela in the Netflix original series Élite.

In January, he became a father for the first time following the birth of his daughter Maria.
