The body of a 26-year-old woman has been found under her own patio after allegedly being killed by her sister and brother-in-law.

Aseret Sixtos Carmona had returned to her home country of Mexico after spending a season working.

She had a job in Alaska, US, and saved up £5,525 ($7,000).

CCTV images showed that she arrived at her home just before 5am on 5 May.

Her sister, brother-in-law, and an accomplice were allegedly waiting in the house for her to arrive.

The authorities currently suspect that the motive of the crime was the savings, which totalled around MXN 117,090 in local currency.

She was allegedly throttled to death by the three suspects, named as sister Marien, 21, brother-in-law, André Mateo, 23, and accomplice, Antonio de Jesús, 32.

The trio then reportedly dug a hole in her patio area and buried the body.

The victim’s concerned father reported her as missing on 8 May.

While searching Aseret’s home the following day, police officers noticed that the earth had been recently disturbed.
