The wreckage was found in the jungle the following morning.

The private plane took off from Governador Valadares, northeast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, bound for Florianópolis, southwest of São Paulo.

Teams from the Fire Department and the Brazilian Air Force began searching for the aircraft and passengers at dawn following the crash
To reach the crash site, the authorities had to beat a trail through the jungle to reach the remote __cpLocation.
Scientific Police officers inspected the wreckage and arranged for the removal of the two bodies, as reported by Need To Know.

The National Civil Aviation Agency said the plane was a Beechcraft Baron B55 twin-engine aircraft registered as PS-BDW with a maximum capacity of six passengers.
Castro and his business partner reportedly bought the plane less than a month before the crash.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
