Doctors were stunned after drawing blood from a patient and discovering the liquid was “half fat”.
The man’s lipid levels were so high that the blood looked like a disturbing flat white in a test tube.
The 58-year-old patient, surnamed Peng, reportedly sought medical assistance after suffering with a raft of symptoms.

This included loss of appetite, generalised weakness, dizziness, nausea and hand numbness.
It was only when medics took a blood sample that they discovered the cause of his maladies.
Tests put the patient’s triglyceride levels at 66.75 mmol/L, which is “40 times” the norm, according to local media, in Beijing, China.
Despite his sky-high lipid levels, Peng weighs just 56kg (8st 11lb) and his body shape is “relatively good”.
He was reportedly baffled when he was told his symptoms were “fat-related”, as reported on Need To Know.
While quizzing him about his eating habits, the medics learned that the patient often consumes high-fat meats and has been doing so for a long time.
Experts say genetic factors, prescription drugs, an unhealthy lifestyle, metabolic disorders, kidney disease and diabetes can also lead to high lipid levels.
They warn that not only overweight people are at risk.
