The courageous mother can be seen clutching a metal roof panel that the hurricane has nearly-completely ripped off.
The woman, who appears to be in her 50s, clings onto the panel as the wind tries to blow it away.
The sheer power of the storm is evident from the felled tree next to the property.
Despite the people around her trying to talk her down, she clings onto the roof panel and refuses to budge.
Hurricane Beryl struck Jamaica, where the clip was filmed, on Wednesday (3 Jul) night.
The category-four storm landed on the island with winds of up to 140 mph, flooding roads and cutting power.
Beryl has since been downgraded to category three, but that has not stopped it from wreaking havoc in Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula.
At the time of reporting, the storm had claimed 22 lives, with five still missing.
Damages have been estimated at just shy of $1bn (£782m), as reported on Need To Know.
One local said: “So very dangerous, that tin or any object in those winds could pierce her body like a knife. Not worth it.”
Tash added: “This is so dangerous, but I also understand the desire to hold on to what you have. I pray she is safe.”
