A bride has been jailed for over 11 years after being arrested at her own wedding.

Her would-be husband, Clemente Mendiola Martínez, managed to escape from the church.
However, he was found dead in his car in Villa Guerrero, Mexico.
There were over 200 bullet casings found at the scene.
Rodríguez was sentenced to 11 years and six months in prison for violent robbery, last Friday (12 Jul).
She’d been arrested at her nuptials on 3 December last year.
Prosecutors successfully proved that the defendant was a member of the Familia Michoacana criminal organisation and took part in said robbery in March 2022.
According to the investigation, she stole money from a victim in Tenango del Valle with another woman and two male accomplices.
The victim filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, which led to Rodríguez being identified and investigated.
She was subsequently busted at her own wedding.
Her partner was named as a hitman for a cell of the Familia Michoacana, as reported by Need To Know.
Since 2021, the authorities have been offering a reward of £13,034 (MXN 300,000) for information leading to his capture.
Prior to his death, he was being investigated for extorting local chicken merchants in Toluca Valley as well as taking part in several kidnappings and homicides in the area.
